Mucusnil Tablet ER is an expectorant. It is used for the treatment of cough and congestion. It helps in bringing mucus out of the lungs thus helps in treating cough.
Mucusnil Tablet ER can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as per your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. In case, you have missed any doses than it is better to take the next dose as soon as you remember it. Mucusnil Tablet ER can be taken with other cold and cough preparation including Sudafed, Dayquil, Benadryl, and benzonatate. However, other formulations containing guaifenesin must be avoided to avoid a double dose. Also, Mucusnil Tablet ER should not be combined with cough suppressants in the treatment of cough since the combination would not be logical and you may be exposed to unnecessary side effects.
