Moxicip BR Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Bromfenac and Moxifloxacin which treat eye infections. Bromfenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the eye. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves.
Moxicip BR Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Moxicip BR Eye Drop is probably unsafe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
