MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET is a combination of two medicines: Isosorbide Mononitrate and Aspirin / Acetylsalicylic acid which prevent future episodes of angina. Isosorbide mononitrate dilates the blood vessels of the body. As a result, work load on the heart is reduced which in turn decreases heart-related chest pain. Aspirin is an antiplatelet medicine. It prevents the platelets from sticking together and decreases the formation of harmful blood clots.
Taking Aspirin with alcohol increases the associated risk of stomach bleeding.
