MHFA Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

Common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, dryness in the mouth, headache, and fatigue. These are usually mild and disappear after a short time. Consult your doctor if they persist. This medicine may also cause sleepiness and drowsiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.

Vertigo means a spinning sensation or dizziness that is triggered due to frequent movement. It can happen due to many reasons but it may also occur without any underlying disease. You may experience spinning sensation (vertigo), nausea or vomiting as a result of this condition. MHFA Tablet helps treat these symptoms effectively. If you feel dizzy while getting up from the bed, sit for a while and then rise slowly to avoid having an accidental fall.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

MHFA Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Meclizine and Folic Acid.

Quick tips

You have been prescribed MHFA Tablet to relieve vertigo (dizziness) and feeling of nausea, vomiting associated with it.
Take it at the same time each day to maintain a steady amount of the medicine in your body.
Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help.
Do not take it for longer than 7 days without consulting your doctor.
MHFA Tablet can only decrease the number and severity of attacks but may not completely stop them.
Before taking MHFA Tablet inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcer or asthma.

MHFA Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

MHFA Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data suggest dose adjustment may not be needed.

Liver
