Mevnik-C Tablet is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (symptoms include abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and diarrhea or constipation). It prevents the sudden spasm of muscles to relieve stomach pain and cramps. It also promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.

Mevnik-C Tablet is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Yes, Mevnik-C Tablet may cause withdrawal symptoms. Do not stop taking Mevnik-C Tablet all of a sudden. Stopping Mevnik-C Tablet suddenly can cause seizures, shaking, stomach and muscle cramps, vomiting and sweating. Consult with your doctor before stopping Mevnik-C Tablet.
No, avoid drinking alcohol while you are taking Mevnik-C Tablet. Drinking alcohol can increase the risk of side effects like drowsiness or sleepiness.
Yes, Mevnik-C Tablet may make you feel drowsy or sleepy. Avoid driving, operating any machines, working at heights or participating in potentially dangerous activities at the start of your treatment. Inform your doctor if you experience such episodes while taking this medicine.
Mevnik-C Tablet should not be taken along with opioid-like substances as it contains chlordiazepoxide. Use of opioids along with chlordiazepoxide may cause excessive sedation (state of calm or sleep), respiratory depression and eventually coma or death. Inform your doctor about all the medicines that you are taking if you are advised to take Mevnik-C Tablet.
Both Mebeverine and Chlordiazepoxide show different symptoms of overdose. Chlordiazepoxide can cause sleepiness, reflexes, confusion and coma. Whereas, Mebeverine can cause CNS excitability which is mild and reversible. Inform the doctor in case you take a higher dose and any of these symptoms appear.
Yes, the use of Mevnik-C Tablet can cause constipation. Eat high-fiber foods like vegetables, fruits and cereals, and drink plenty of water. Exercise regularly by engaging in activities like swimming, jogging or taking a walk. Consult a doctor if the constipation persists for a long duration.
Keep this medicine in the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
