Metolar 6.26mg/25mg/40mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. It also removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body.
Metolar 6.26mg/25mg/40mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It makes you lose excess water through urine, hence try to take it at day time or 4 hours before bedtime to avoid frequent urination at night. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.
Nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset, headache, and dizziness are some common side effects of this medicine. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is important while using this medicine. How Metolar Tablet works
Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate, while Telmisartan is a calcium channel blocker which works by blocking the hormone angiotensin to further relax blood vessels.

What if you forget to take Metolar Tablet?
