MDS-O 200mg Tablet is used in the treatment of some kinds of blood cancer. It is used for the treatment of adult patients with all subtypes of Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). It may be also used to treat other conditions, as determined by the doctor.
MDS-O 200mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, but better to have it same time every day. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.
The most common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, weakness, nausea, and fever. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. You must inform your doctor before taking any vaccination while on treatment with this medicine. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with the heart, liver, and kidney.
Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have liver, or kidney problems or are taking any medicines to treat infections. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your doctor know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

How to use MDS-O Tablet

How MDS-O Tablet works
MDS-O 200mg Tablet is an anticancer medication. It works by interfering with the growth of genetic material (DNA and RNA) of the cancer cells in leukaemia. This kills the cancer cells and helps in normal maturation and growth of young blood cells in the bone marrow.

What if you forget to take MDS-O Tablet?
If you miss a dose of MDS-O 200mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

My PATIENT having cancer in urinary bladder, now it is removed and histopathology lab report says the disease is not there any more in body no kemo is required. But the further medicine given for 3 month are very costly which are only for vitamin. Need the genuine ans and generic medicine. As there is no condition to take so much expensive medicine. Bcoz operation has done with the help of charity and trust.
The patient is my mother who was suffering from pancytopenia for more than a year. She got her bone marrow test and biopsy done last month the MDS FISH panel and cytogenetics reports were negative but the gave a provisional diagnosis of MDS. .her platelets are 58000. .Please advise if it is MDS or something else as the says we need to just monitor her CBC and wait till the platelets drop to 20000 then some injections can be given.
