Lumbril Tablet is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasm. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms.
Lumbril Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by your doctor.
Some of the common side effects of this medicine include nausea, stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, dizziness, weakness, and sleepiness. How Lumbril Tablet works
Lumbril Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ibuprofen and Tizanidine which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant. It works by acting on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Lumbril Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Lumbril Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks.
Breast feeding
CAUTION
Lumbril Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body.
Driving
UNSAFE
Lumbril Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION
Lumbril Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Liver
UNSAFE
Lumbril Tablet is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
Use of Lumbril Tablet is not advised in patients with severe liver disease. Liver function tests are recommended before the start of treatment and then on a regular basis as advised.

What if you forget to take Lumbril Tablet?
