How to use Lincef Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lincef Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Lincef Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

How Lincef Tablet works

Lincef Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefixime and Linezolid. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Linezolid stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Together, they eradicate your infection effectively.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Lincef Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Lincef Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney
CAUTION
Lincef Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lincef Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION

u shouldn't take antibiotics without prescription, for simple cold n cough take syp corex-Dx 1 tsf tid, for cold DO STEAM INHALAION TWICE DAILY, WARM SALINE GARGLES, AVOID EXPOSURE TO COLD,TAKE REST tab levocet 1 tab bd for 5 days, take healthy diet to boost ur immunity comprising of proteins, vitamins particularly vit C, take plenty of fluids if not better in 3 days consult physician hope this helps, antibiotics are reserved only for bacterial infections , most cold like illnesses are viral so no need of antibiotics
