Common

Side Effects of Librolent are Sedation, Confusion, Weight gain, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Memory impairment, Urinary retention, Dizziness, Increased prolactin level in blood, Tiredness, Tremor, Muscle rigidity, Uncoordinated body movements, Dryness in mouth, Constipation.

How to use Librolent Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Librolent Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Librolent Tablet works

Librolent Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Chlordiazepoxide and trifluoperazine. Chlordiazepoxide works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Trifluoperazine is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Librolent Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Librolent Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Librolent Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Librolent Tablet make u feel dizzy, drowsy or can cause blurred vision. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
Librolent Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Librolent Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Librolent Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Librolent Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
