How to use Larprim Suspension

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Larprim 200 mg/40 mg Suspension may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food, if it causes stomach upset.

Larprim 200 mg/40 mg Suspension is a combination of two antibiotics: Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim. These antibiotics work by preventing the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Alcohol
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Larprim 200 mg/40 mg Suspension. Taking trimethoprim with alcohol may cause unpleasant side effects such as tingly feeling, nausea, and vomiting, fast heartbeats, warmth or redness under your skin, .
Pregnancy

Larprim 200 mg/40 mg Suspension is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Larprim 200 mg/40 mg Suspension is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving

Larprim is a combination of two medicines: Sulfamethoxazole+Trimethoprim. It is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections and works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing the infection. It treats urinary tract infections, ear infections, enteritis (inflammation of the small intestine), pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea, and episodes of difficulty breathing in people with chronic (long-term) bronchitis.
