How to use Ketsol Plus Eye Drop

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

How Ketsol Plus Eye Drop works

Ketsol Plus Eye Drop is a combination of three medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Ketorolac and Phenylephrine which relieve eye discomfort caused by allergies. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, teary eyes. Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the eye. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the blood vessels of the eye to further relieve inflammation.

Quick tips

  • Ketsol Plus Eye Drop provides soothing relief from eye irritation due to allergy.
  • It should usually be used twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
  • Wash your hands first before applying Ketsol Plus Eye Drop. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If it does, squeeze out two or three drops straightaway onto some tissue and rinse the tip with saltwater.
  • Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after putting the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.
  • If you normally wear contact lenses, please wear your spectacles instead until your doctor advises you that it is suitable for you to wear your lenses again.
