Kare 10mg/1mg Tablet is used in the treatment of schizophrenia.

How to use Kare Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Kare 10mg/1mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Kare Tablet works

Kare 10mg/1mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Chlordiazepoxide and trifluoperazine. Chlordiazepoxide works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Trifluoperazine is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood.

Kare Tablet related warnings

Kare 10mg/1mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Kare 10mg/1mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Kare 10mg/1mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kare 10mg/1mg Tablet make u feel dizzy, drowsy or can cause blurred vision. This may affect your driving ability.
Kare 10mg/1mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Kare 10mg/1mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
