Product introduction

Glycine Infusion is given under the supervision of a doctor or a nurse during urological surgical procedures. This medicine should not be self-administered at home.

This medicine is usually safe, however, it may cause nausea, drowsiness, stomach upset, and vomiting in some people. Before you receive this medicine, inform the doctor if you have any known allergies to this medicine.

Before the treatment, your doctor may suggest several clinical evaluations and laboratory tests (blood and urine), this is to be done to calculate the dose and to predict the probable side effects of this medicine on your body. Before initiating this treatment, you must consult your doctor if you have any health conditions or your ongoing medications.

Continuous irrigation is commonly prescribed after certain prostate as well as bladder surgeries to help prevent the clot formation and retention that are frequently associated with these hemorrhagic (those involving bleeding) surgeries. It cleans the surgical area, provides visibility to the surgeon and removes minor clots that may cause blockages during or even after the surgery. This promotes healing and helps in carrying out the procedure smoothly.

Glycine Infusion is a sterile, nonpyrogenic aqueous solution. It is a neutral and clear solution that helps to provide a high degree of visibility during urological (bladder, prostate, and urethra) surgeries and makes it easier for the surgeon to operate. Its action as a lavage (cleansing solution) helps to remove blood and tissue fragments from the surgical field. Post surgery it also prevents any blockage of the catheter.
