How to use Gdnefa Eye Drop

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

How Gdnefa Eye Drop works

Gdnefa Eye Drop is a combination of lubricant, cooling agents, antiallergic, and antimicrobial medicines. Carboxymethylcellulose is a lubricant that works similarly to natural tears and provides temporary relief from the discomfort and burning due to the dryness of the eye. Naphazoline narrows the blood vessels in the eye, thereby reducing redness and inflammation (swelling). Camphor and menthol provide a cooling sensation to the eye. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic that blocks the action of certain chemicals responsible for red, itchy, teary eyes. Boric acid has antibiotic properties that kill infection-causing microorganisms. It also relieves eye irritation.

Quick tips

  • Wash your hands before applying Gdnefa Eye Drop. Do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface to avoid contamination.
  • Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after putting the medication. This will prevent the medicine from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eyes.
  • If you normally wear contact lenses, use your spectacles instead until your doctor advises that it is suitable for you to wear lenses again.
  • Along with using Gdnefa Eye Drop, give a warm compress to your eyes to get relief from itching and burning sensation.
