Gazyva 1000mg Solution for Infusion is given as an injection into the veins under the supervision of a doctor. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. Take it exactly as advised by the doctor. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.
The most common side effects of this medicine include nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and nasal passages), upper respiratory tract infection, rash, flu, dermatitis, and eczema. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bother you or persist for longer. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cell count and the heart, liver, and kidney functions.
Before taking Gazyva 1000mg Solution for Infusion, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, liver or kidney problems, or are taking any medicines to treat infections. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine, so let your doctor know about all the medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during the treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.

- After starting the treatment with Gazyva 1000mg Solution for Infusion, you may be at risk of infection; so, try to avoid crowds or people with colds, and report fever or any other signs of infection immediately to your doctor.
- Drink at least two to three quarts of fluid every 24 hours, unless you are instructed otherwise.
- To reduce nausea, take anti-nausea medications as prescribed by your doctor and eat small, frequent meals.
- Your doctor may monitor your blood counts before you start taking this medicine and regularly throughout your treatment.
- Avoid taking any other vaccines without consulting your doctor.
- It can make you feel dizzy for the first few days. Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down for a long time.
- Avoid breastfeeding while taking Gazyva 1000mg Solution for Infusion and for six months after its last dose.
- Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during and for six months after the treatment with this medicine.
