Product introduction

This medicine is taken with meals preferably at bedtime in a dose and duration advised by the doctor. If you stop the treatment too early, your symptoms may come back and the condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications that you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

Gazflat Tablet is generally safe with no common side effects. However, it may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, etc. in some people. Before taking this medicine, let the doctor know if you have kidney problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also consult their doctors before taking this medicine.

Gazflat Tablet prevents the formation and accumulation of gas. It also facilitates the passage of gas allowing patients to expel a greater volume, thereby reducing uncomfortable or painful pressure in the stomach and intestines.

How to use Gazflat Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gazflat Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Gazflat Tablet works

Gazflat Tablet is a combination of two drugs named activated charcoal and simethicone. The extra spaces in the charcoal trap gas molecules, reducing the gas that causes bloating. Simethicone works by reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). It also restricts the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.

It is advisable to maintain a gap of at least 2 hours between Gazflat Tablet and other medicines.
Diarrhea might be a side effect of Gazflat Tablet and is rare. Drink lots of fluids and eat food rich in fiber if you experience diarrhea. Consult your doctor if you find blood in your stools or you experience excess diarrhea. Do not take any antidiarrheal medicine on your own.
