Faktu Rectal Ointment

It is for external use only. Use it as directed by your doctor. Do not use it too much or too little as it may increase the side effects or make it less effective. Continue using the medicine as long as the doctor has prescribed. Make sure it does not get to your eyes, mouth, or eyes. In case of accidental contact, wash it off immediately with clean water.

It may cause some side effects such as irritation, redness, itchiness, or burning sensation at the side of application. These are usually temporary and resolve themselves in time without any treatment. However, in case they persist or get worse, let your doctor know.

Inform the doctor if you have a history of allergic reaction to any of the components of this product. Avoid using Faktu Rectal Ointment in case of any systemic infection. Let your doctor also know if you are taking any other medicines to make sure it is safe for you. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before using this medicine.

• Wash your hands before and after applying Faktu Rectal Ointment.
• Do not take any oral laxatives along with Faktu Rectal Ointment without consulting your doctor.
• Sometimes certain medicines like iron tablets and antibiotics might cause constipation. Inform your doctor if you are taking any of them. 
• A fibre-rich diet (wholegrain bread and cereals, fruit, and green leafy vegetables), six to eight glasses of water each day, and daily exercise are important in maintaining healthy bowel function.
• Apart from using Faktu Rectal Ointment, you can indulge in warm baths. It may help soothe the area, thus easing the pain.
• Don't ignore the feeling of needing to pass stools. Some people suppress this feeling and put off going to the toilet until later. This may result in bigger and harder stools forming that are more difficult to pass later.
