How Etotan-R Tablet works

What if you forget to take Etotan-R Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Etotan-R 5mg/50mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
It may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
It can be harmful to an unborn baby. Do not take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Etotan-R 5mg/50mg Tablet.
Hypertension is clinically high blood pressure. Persistent high arterial blood pressure above 120/80 mm HG is termed as pre-hypertension or hypertension, but the point to be emphasized is that this rise in blood pressure is persistent. Transient increase in BP occurs in stress and anxiety and needs to be treated accordingly.

Etotan-R 5mg/50mg Tablet should not be used in pregnancy due to the risk of birth defects.
How will I know if Etotan-R 5mg/50mg Tablet is working?
Your doctor will regularly monitor your blood pressure, kidney function, and blood electrolytes (especially potassium) to evaluate whether Etotan-R 5mg/50mg Tablet is working properly. Report persistent dizziness, swelling, muscle weakness, or heartbeat changes right away to your doctor.
