Benefits of Erypeg Injection

Anemia due to cancer chemotherapy
Cancer treatments like chemotherapy can lower red blood cell levels, leading to anemia. This causes fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath, which can affect daily activities and quality of life. Erypeg 30 Injection helps stimulate red blood cell production, correcting anemia and reducing the need for blood transfusions. This allows patients to continue treatment with improved energy levels and overall well-being
Anemia due to chronic kidney disease
In chronic kidney disease (CKD), damaged kidneys cannot produce enough natural erythropoietin, a hormone needed for making red blood cells. This results in anemia, causing tiredness, dizziness, and reduced stamina. Erypeg 30 Injection restores red blood cell levels, improves oxygen supply in the body, and reduces symptoms of anemia. It helps patients feel more energetic and maintain a better quality of life.

How to use Erypeg Injection

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

How Erypeg Injection works

Erypeg 30 Injection contains a man-made form of Erythropoietin, a hormone that is produced mainly by specialized cells in the kidney. It acts on red blood cells to protect them against destruction. At the same time, it stimulates stem cells of the bone marrow to increase the production of red blood cells and provides homeostasis in oxygen delivery to body tissue.

Quick tips

  • Erypeg 30 Injection increases hemoglobin level and improves physical functioning in patients with chronic kidney failure or undergoing chemotherapy.
  • Before and during the treatment with Erypeg 30 Injection, your iron level and blood pressure will be monitored regularly.
  • Erypeg 30 Injection is not indicated for the treatment of anemia in cancer patients due to
other factors such as iron or folate deficiencies, hemolysis, or gastrointestinal bleeding.
  • Erypeg 30 Injection may also be given before certain operations where the chances of significant blood loss and blood transfusion are high. This is to reduce the need for blood transfusions during and after surgery.
  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures, strokes, or blood disorders (sickle cell anemia)
  • Avoid potentially hazardous activities such as driving or operating heavy machinery while taking Erypeg 30 Injection.
