Overview

Introduction

Drykof 15 mg/5 mg/2.5 mg Syrup is used to treat dry cough. It relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, swelling. It reduces the activity of cough center in the brain and also provide relief from congestion or stuffiness.

Take Drykof 15 mg/5 mg/2.5 mg Syrup in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. Finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. If you have suffered or are currently suffering from any stomach, liver or kidney disease, inform your doctor before you start taking this medicine.

It may cause side effects like rash, fatigue, nausea, dryness in mouth, bloating, diarrhea, stomach upset, indigestion, irritation in ear, and headache. You may also experience dizziness after taking it, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus.

How to use Drykof Syrup

Drykof 15 mg/5 mg/2.5 mg Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

How Drykof Syrup works

Drykof 15 mg/5 mg/2.5 mg Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Pseudoephedrine, dextromethorphan and cetirizine which relieve dry cough. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Pregnancy

Drykof 15 mg/5 mg/2.5 mg Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Drykof 15 mg/5 mg/2.5 mg Syrup is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Drykof 15 mg/5 mg/2.5 mg Syrup may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby
