Frequently asked questions

Dolojoy Tablet is used to relieve moderate to severe pain when other pain-relieving medicines may not provide adequate relief. It may be prescribed for conditions such as injury-related pain, dental pain, post-surgical pain, musculoskeletal pain, or other painful conditions where stronger pain control is needed. Reducing pain can help improve comfort and make daily activities easier to perform.
Dolojoy Tablet contains Paracetamol and Codeine. Paracetamol helps reduce pain by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that cause pain. Codeine is an opioid pain reliever that acts on the brain and nervous system to reduce the perception of pain. Together, these ingredients provide stronger pain relief than either medicine alone.
Dolojoy Tablet can generally be taken with or without food. However, taking it with food may feel more comfortable for some individuals, especially if they experience nausea or stomach upset after taking the medicine.
Use Dolojoy Tablet only for the duration prescribed by your doctor. Since it contains Codeine, prolonged use may increase the risk of dependence and other side effects. If your pain continues despite treatment, your doctor may need to reassess the underlying cause and your treatment plan.
Some individuals may experience constipation, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, or stomach discomfort while taking Dolojoy Tablet. These side effects are often mild and may improve as the body adjusts to treatment. If they become bothersome or persistent, speak with your doctor.
Yes, Dolojoy Tablet contains Codeine, which belongs to a group of medicines called opioids. Long-term or inappropriate use may lead to dependence in some individuals. It is important to take the medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor and not continue treatment longer than recommended.
Yes. Dolojoy Tablet contains Codeine, which can cause serious or life-threatening breathing problems, especially in children. Seek immediate medical attention if a child develops slow or shallow breathing, unusual sleepiness, difficulty waking up, confusion, or bluish lips or skin. Use Dolojoy Tablet only as prescribed and never give it to a child unless specifically recommended by a doctor.
Check with your doctor before taking any other medicine that contains Paracetamol while using Dolojoy Tablet. Taking multiple Paracetamol-containing products together may increase the risk of exceeding the recommended daily dose.
Do not stop taking Dolojoy Tablet without discussing it with your doctor if you have been using it regularly for a prolonged period. Your doctor may advise how to reduce or discontinue treatment safely if needed.
Constipation is a common side effect of Codeine. Drinking adequate fluids, eating fibre-rich foods such as fruits and vegetables, and staying physically active may help maintain regular bowel movements. If constipation becomes troublesome, speak with your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you have asthma, chronic breathing problems, or any condition that affects your lungs. Codeine may not be suitable for some individuals with breathing disorders, and your doctor can determine whether this medicine is appropriate for you.
Some individuals may notice pain relief within a few hours of taking Dolojoy Tablet. The exact time can vary depending on the severity of pain, the underlying condition, and individual response to treatment.
The combination of Paracetamol and Codeine provides stronger pain relief than Paracetamol alone. Your doctor may prescribe Dolojoy Tablet when pain is more severe or when simpler pain-relieving medicines have not provided adequate relief.
If your pain continues, worsens, or keeps returning despite taking Dolojoy Tablet as prescribed, inform your doctor. Persistent pain may require further evaluation or adjustments to your treatment plan.
