Dexachlor 0.1% Eye/Ear Drops is a prescription medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the eye or ear. It works by killing and stopping the growth of the bacteria. It also blocks the production of certain chemicals that cause inflammation and itchiness in the eyes/ears.

Dexachlor 0.1% Eye/Ear Drops is to be used only in the affected eye or ear. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine.   • Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.
  • Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
  • Eye infections can cause your eyes to become more sensitive to sunlight than usual. Wearing sunglasses may help to prevent this.
  • Along with using Dexachlor 0.1% Eye/Ear Drops, give a warm compress to your eyes to get relief from itching and burning sensation.
  • Take care to avoid spreading the infection from one eye to the other, and to other members of your family. Washing your hands regularly (particularly after touching your eyes) and not sharing towels or pillows will help to prevent the infection from spreading.
