How to use Defung Tablet VT

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash and dry your vaginal area. Dip the tablet in lukewarm water just to moisten it. Lie on your back and gently insert the tablet into the vagina as high as possible with or without the use of an applicator as mentioned in the label. It is best to use it just before bedtime.

How Defung Tablet VT works

Defung 20mg/100mg/500mg Vaginal Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Clotrimazole, Miconazole and Tinidazole which treat infections. Clotrimazole and Miconazole are antifungal medicines which stop the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA.

Defung 20mg/100mg/500mg Vaginal Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.

Lactation
CAUTION
Defung 20mg/100mg/500mg Vaginal Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
If a single dose of Defung 20mg/100mg/500mg Vaginal Tablet is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Defung 20mg/100mg/500mg Vaginal Tablet may make you feel drowsy or gives you problems with coordination or sensation (e.g. numbness or weakness). This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
There is limited information available on the use of Defung 20mg/100mg/500mg Vaginal Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
