CremaGel-L Rectal Gel

CremaGel-L Rectal Gel relaxes the blood vessels in the anus thus helping in the healing of anal fissures. It should be used in the dose and duration as directed by your doctor. Do not stop using it suddenly, as it may lead to worsening of your condition.

Before applying CremaGel-L Rectal Gel, clean and dry the affected area. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. Avoid getting this medicine into your eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, wash your eyes with water and seek immediate medical attention.

CremaGel-L Rectal Gel is generally well-tolerated with minimal or no side effects. However, slight anal irritation may occur as a side effect of this medicine. This is temporary and usually resolves on its own in some time. Please consult your doctor if it does not resolve or persist for a longer duration. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice worsening of the infection or develop increased redness and irritation.

• Apart from using CremaGel-L Rectal Gel, you can indulge in warm baths. It may help soothe the area and thus may ease the pain.
• Don't ignore the feeling of needing to pass stools. Some people suppress this feeling and put off going to the toilet until later. This may result in bigger and harder stools forming that are more difficult to pass
• Do not take any oral laxative along with CremaGel-L Rectal Gel without consulting your doctor.
• Sometimes certain medicines, like iron tablets or antibiotics, might make your stools hard and difficult to pass. Inform your doctor if you are taking any of them.
• A fibre rich diet (wholegrain breads and cereals, fruit and green leafy vegetables), six to eight full glasses of water each day, and daily exercise are important in maintaining healthy bowel function.
