How to use Combidin Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Taking it with food or milk helps to avoid stomach upset.

How Combidin Tablet works

Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet is a combination of three pain relieving medicines: Paracetamol / Acetaminophen, Codeine and Ibuprofen. Paracetamol / Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen work by blocking the chemical messengers in brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Codeine works by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain, thereby further decreasing pain perception.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Taking Ibuprofen with alcohol increases the risk of stomach bleeding.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
SAFE
Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
As Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet may cause dizziness, blurred vision or the inability to think clearly.
Kidney
CAUTION
Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Long term use of this medicine can affect the kidney function.
Liver
CAUTION
Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Combidin 325 mg/30 mg/400 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
