Ciprofloxacin Topical(0.5% w/w)


Ciprofloxacin topical is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections such as ear infections, acute inflammation of external auditory canal (otitis externa) and acute inflammation of middle ear (otitis media), sinus infections, eye infections like inflammation of conjunctiva (conjunctivitis), corneal ulcers and inflammation of eyelids (blepheritis) and other skin and soft tissue infections.

How it works

Ciprofloxacin belongs to a class of medication called as fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Ciprofloxacin inhibits bacterial reproduction by inhibiting DNA formation, thereby killing the bacteria.

  • It should not take if patient is allergic to ciprofloxacin, other quinolones or any of its ingredients.
