Breztri Aerosphere is a combination of three medicines. It is used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works in various ways and reduces the symptoms of the disease such as coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
Breztri Aerosphere should be used in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Use it regularly and as long as your doctor has prescribed it to get maximum benefits from the medicine. Don't stop using the medicine even if you feel better unless your doctor tells you to. If you stop, your breathing problems could get worse.
Breztri Aerosphere is generally safe and effective, but some common side effects include nausea, headache, and thrush. These side effects are usually mild and should gradually improve as your body gets used to this medicine. Let your doctor know if you are bothered by any of this, or if you experience any other side effects which you think are caused by the medicine.
Before using Breztri Aerosphere, let your doctor know if you have any preexisting medical conditions. Let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking. Additionally, to make sure it is safe for you, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this medicine. You should smoke while on treatment with this medicine. Smoking causes damage to your lungs and will make your condition worse.
Breztri Aerosphere helps to treat COPD and breathe easier by opening airways, reducing lung inflammation, and preventing flare-ups. It relieves symptoms like breathlessness, coughing, and wheezing, improves lung function, and supports a more active lifestyle.

How Breztri Inhaler works
Breztri Aerosphere is a combination of three medicines : Glycopyrrolate, Formoterol, and Budesonide. Glycopyrrolate is an anticholinergic medication. It works by blocking the activity of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) in the brain. Formoterol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. This makes breathing easier. Budesonide is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.

Quick tips
You have been prescribed Breztri Aerosphere for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
If at any time your breathing gets worse, please contact your doctor or nurse for advice straightaway.
Gargle with warm water after each inhalation to avoid any fungal infections in your mouth and throat.
Do not smoke. Smoking causes irritation and damage to the lungs and will make your condition worse.
If you have diabetes you may need to check your blood glucose more frequently, as Breztri Aerosphere can affect the levels of sugar in your blood. Your doctor will advise you about this.
If you are overweight, it is advisable to lose weight. This is because being overweight means that you have to work much harder to breathe in to inflate your lungs.
Breztri Aerosphere is used to help people with long‑term lung diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, or emphysema breathe more easily. It helps reduce flare‑ups and keeps the airways open for smoother breathing over time.
Can I use Breztri Aerosphere for sudden shortness of breath?
No. Breztri Aerosphere is not a rescue inhaler. It does not work quickly enough to relieve sudden attacks of breathlessness. You should always keep a fast‑acting rescue inhaler handy for sudden breathing problems.
Who should not use Breztri Aerosphere?
Individuals should not use Breztri Aerosphere if they are allergic to any of its ingredients (budesonide, glycopyrrolate, or formoterol). It is also not suitable for children under 18 years. People with severe kidney or liver problems should consult their doctor before using it.
What should I tell my doctor before starting Breztri Aerosphere?
Before starting Breztri Aerosphere, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, thyroid problems, diabetes, prostate issues, glaucoma, or liver or kidney disease. These conditions can affect how your body reacts to this medicine.
What are the serious side effects of Breztri Aerosphere?
Serious side effects of Breztri Aerosphere may include chest pain, irregular heartbeat, vision changes, worsening breathing, allergic reactions such as swelling or rash, or symptoms of infection like fever or chills. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of these symptoms.
Does Breztri Aerosphere weaken the immune system?
Breztri Aerosphere contains budesonide, a type of corticosteroid, which may slightly lower your body’s ability to fight infections. Wash your mouth after each use and contact your doctor if you develop thrush (white patches in your mouth) or a persistent cough.
Can using Breztri Aerosphere affect my eyes or bones?
Long‑term use of Breztri Aerosphere may increase the risk of eye problems such as glaucoma or cataracts and may slightly weaken bones. Regular check‑ups can help detect these issues early.
Can I stop using Breztri Aerosphere once I feel better?
No. You should continue using Breztri Aerosphere every day as prescribed, even when you feel well. Stopping it suddenly can cause your COPD symptoms to return or worsen.
What should I avoid while using Breztri Aerosphere?
While using Breztri Aerosphere, avoid exposure to people with contagious infections such as chickenpox or measles, as the steroid part of this medicine can reduce your resistance to infections.
