Besicor-C 5 Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure.

How to use Besicor-C Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Besicor-C 5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it preferably in the morning.

How Besicor-C Tablet works

Besicor-C 5 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cilnidipine and bisoprolol which lower blood pressure effectively. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels while bisoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Besicor-C Tablet related warnings

Alcohol
CAUTION
Taking Bisoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy
Unknown. Human and animal studies are not available. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
No information is available on the use of Besicor-C 5 Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Driving
Besicor-C 5 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Besicor-C 5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Besicor-C 5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular blood pressure monitoring is advisable for dose adjustment.
Liver
CAUTION
Besicor-C 5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Besicor-C 5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Besicor-C 5 Tablet is started at a lower dose in these patients and further increased slowly with careful monitoring.
