Azidone SB 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take the medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Take it at the same time each day to get the maximum benefit from it. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. A missed dose should be taken as soon as you remember. Do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better unless you have completed the full course. If you stop too early, the infection may return.

Some side effects of Azidone SB 500mg Tablet medicine include nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. If you experience any other side effects which you think are caused by this medicine, you should let your doctor know. If you have severe liver or kidney disease, consult your doctor before you start with the treatment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also consult their doctors before taking this medicine.

How Azidone SB Tablet works

Azidone SB 500mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines : Azithromycin, Saccharomyces boulardii, and Lactobacillus Sporogenes. Azithromycin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading. Saccharomyces boulardii and Lactobacillus Sporogenes are probiotics. They work by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset after antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.

Quick tips

Azidone SB 500mg Tablet is used for the treatment of bacterial infections.
Take it 1 hour before or two hours after food.
Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking Azidone SB 500mg Tablet.
Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
Stop taking Azidone SB 500mg Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
Stick to simple meals, avoid rich or spicy food and drink plenty of water while taking Azidone SB 500mg Tablet.
