Avadase MR Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. It should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended by your doctor.

Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea, stomach pain, and loss of appetite. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help you with ways to reduce or prevent them.

The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, and liver. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking to make sure it is safe for you. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors before using this medicine.

Avadase MR Tablet relieves pain, reduce swelling and ease inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondolytis. It also gives relief from muscle and back pain, toothache, or pain in the ear and throat. This medicine also contains an active ingredient called Serratiopeptidase, which is an enzyme that promotes the overall healing process and speeds up recovery. It also relaxes stiff muscles and helps in easy movement. Take it as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. This will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.

How to use Avadase MR Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Avadase MR Tablet should be taken with or after food.

How Avadase MR Tablet works

Avadase MR Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Diclofenac, Serratiopeptidase and Tizanidine which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and inflammation (redness). Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme which works by breaking down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation, and promotes healing. Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Avadase MR Tablet is used to treat various painful conditions.
Avadase MR Tablet should be taken with, or straight after, a meal or snack. This helps to reduce the risk of stomach upset.
Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea).
Keep sipping water or have sugar-free gum in order to relieve dryness in the mouth.
If you have asthma, symptoms such as wheeze or breathlessness might become worse by Avadase MR Tablet. If this happens to you, consult your doctor immediately.

Pregnancy

UNSAFE

Avadase MR Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Avadase MR Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.

Driving

UNSAFE

Avadase MR Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Avadase MR Tablet may cause headaches, blurred vision, dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. This may affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

CAUTION

Avadase MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Liver

CAUTION

Avadase MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Use of Avadase MR Tablet is not advised in patients with severe liver disease. Liver function tests are recommended before the start of treatment and then on a regular basis as advised.
