Athrovas HC Tablet is a combination medicine that is used in the treatment of high homocysteine and cholesterol level. It prevents your body from making bad cholesterol and raises the levels of good cholesterol. It also provides essential nutrition to the body.

Athrovas HC Tablet should be taken with food. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. Lifestyle changes like low-fat diet, exercise and not smoking may help this medicine to work better.

Nausea, constipation, stomach pain, and dizziness are some common side effects of this medicine. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Notify your doctor if you experience yellow eyes or skin, muscle pain or dark urine after starting the medication. You may be asked for a regular check-up of liver function while taking this medicine.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This medicine is safe in patients of liver and kidney disease. Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with this medicine. High homocysteine levels usually indicate a deficiency of vitamin B-12 or folate. Athrovas HC Tablet contains vitamin B-12 supplements that help restore its normal levels. It also contains cholesterol lowering medicine that helps maintain the normal cholesterol level in our blood. Additionally, this medicine contains some nutritional supplements that enhance the overall health of an individual.
Lowering the amount of cholesterol and homocysteine, reduces the chances of heart diseases and helps you remain healthier for longer. How Athrovas HC Tablet works

Athrovas HC Tablet is a combination of five medicines: L-Methyl Folate , Methylcobalamin/Mecobalamin , Pyridoxal-5-phasphate , Rosuvastatin and Vitamin D3. Rosuvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). L-Methyl Folate , Methylcobalamin/Mecobalamin , Pyridoxal-5-phasphate and Vitamin D3 provide essential nutrients.

What if you forget to take Athrovas HC Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Athrovas HC Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
