Aptifresh 0.5 mg/10 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of schizophrenia
Dryness in mouth, Vomiting, Stomach upset, Delayed ejaculation, Sedation, Weight gain, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Urinary retention, Dizziness, Increased prolactin level in blood, Anorgasmia (decreased orgasm), Low sexual desire, Muscle rigidity, Restlessness, Tremor.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aptifresh 0.5 mg/10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Aptifresh 0.5 mg/10 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Flupenthixol and Escitalopram which have anxiety-lowering and mood-elevating effects. Flupenthixol is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. Escitalopram is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which increases the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger that improves mood.
