Andic-MR Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. It can be taken with or without food. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

The medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, and diarrhea. If you experienced any such side effects that do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent them.

The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions or disorders. Let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors first before using the medicine.

Andic-MR Tablet treats muscle pain by relaxing stiff muscles. It also reduces swelling in the muscles. Altogether, it helps in easy movement and you can carry your daily activities without much problem. Famotidine a constituent present in Andic-MR Tablet prevents acidity that may arise due to this medicine. Andic-MR Tablet also helps reduce fever associated with muscle pain. It is advisable to continue taking Andic-MR Tablet until your doctor advises you to stop. Along with medications, you can also do some light exercises or take physical therapy to get relief from pain.

How Andic-MR Tablet works

Andic-MR Tablet is a combination of two pain relievers (Chlorzoxazone, Diclofenac), a muscle relaxant (Famotidine) and an antacid (Paracetamol). The pain relievers work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (swelling). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and improve movement of muscles. The antacid is added to prevent the irritation to stomach lining that may be caused by these medicines.

You have been prescribed Andic-MR Tablet to get relief from pain and stiffness in the muscles.
Along with taking Andic-MR Tablet, your doctor might advise you to undergo physiotherapy to get relief from pain.
You might experience nausea, ask your doctor to prescribe you an antiemetic (anti-sickness medicine) if it troubles you.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures, heart disease, or stroke.
Liver problems may occur while you are using this medicine. Stop using this medicine and check with your doctor right away if you are having more than one of these symptoms: abdominal pain, clay-colored stools, dark urine, fever, itching, loss of appetite, tiredness, or yellow eyes or skin.

Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Andic-MR Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol.

Pregnancy

UNSAFE

Andic-MR Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Andic-MR Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.

Driving

UNSAFE

Andic-MR Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION

Andic-MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Liver

UNSAFE

Andic-MR Tablet is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
