It helps by loosening thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. It also shrinks the blood vessels and provides rapid relief that lasts for several hours. These actions make breathing easier.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Allercalcin Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Allercalcin Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Allercalcin Tablet works

Allercalcin Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Calcium Gluconate, Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Vitamin C.

Quick tips

Allercalcin Tablet is prescribed to get relief from symptoms of common cold.
Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for cold.
Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment or if you develop a fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat, severe dizziness or anxiety, severe headache, fever, or rash.
Along with taking Allercalcin Tablet do the following simple tips at home to get relief:
1. Steam inhalation
2. Gargling with warm saltwater.
3. Apply vapor rubs on chest, back if needed. Take enough rest.
4. Take warm food and fluid only. Ensure adequate fluid intake.
5. Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcase, etc.

Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Allercalcin Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol.

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

Allercalcin Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Allercalcin Tablet may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby

Driving

UNSAFE

Allercalcin Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION

Allercalcin Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Use of Allercalcin Tablet may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION

Allercalcin Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
