Adpep R Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine.

Nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, and taste change are some common side effects. It may also cause dizziness initially, but this improves with time. This medicine may cause increase in potassium levels (hyperkalemia). Hence, avoid taking potassium rich food or supplements. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is required while taking this medicine.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are pregnant if you have ever had any problems with your blood circulation or have liver or kidney problems. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works.

This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

It can be harmful to an unborn baby. Do not take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Adpep R Tablet.

Adpep R Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Adpep R Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.

Driving

CAUTION

Adpep R Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness due to changes in blood pressure. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Adpep R Tablet usually does not affect alertness but dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure may occur in some patients. This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney

CAUTION

Adpep R Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Caution should be advised in patients with renal impairment.

Liver

CAUTION

Adpep R Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Use of Adpep R Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
