Abdine Ointment is used to treat and prevent various skin infections caused by bacteria. It kills and stops the growth of the bacteria causing infection. It may also be used to heal minor cuts, burns, abrasions, ulcers and blisters. Apply exactly as directed by your doctor. Make sure you complete the full course of treatment to ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning.

How Abdine Ointment works
Abdine Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Povidone Iodine, Tinidazole and Sucralfate. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic. It slowly releases iodine which kills or prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms. Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Sucralfate is protectant which covers the damaged tissue and protects it against injury to facilitate healing.
