How to use Novanib-T Ointment

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.

How Novanib-T Ointment works

Novanib T 5% Ointment suppresses the overactive immune system by inhibiting certain enzymes called Janus kinases (JAKs). Thus, Novanib T 5% Ointment blocks the production of pro-inflammatory substances (including cytokines) that contribute to the development of inflammation and other symptoms of atopic dermatitis. When used for androgenetic alopecia, Novanib T 5% Ointment prevents the destruction of hair follicles by the overactive immune system. Applying Novanib T 5% Ointment helps in hair regrowth in areas affected by androgenetic alopecia.

Quick tips

  • Apply Novanib T 5% Ointment to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
  • Do not apply to large areas of skin or near sensitive areas such as the private parts or on broken or injured skin.
  • Remember to wash your hands after applying Novanib T 5% Ointment, unless this is the area being treated.
  • Avoid direct contact with the eyes, mouth, and nose, and rinse thoroughly in case of accidental contact or seek medical help in case of swallowing.
  • Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
  • Use a mild moisturizer regularly to overcome the skin dryness during the course of treatment in case of atopic dermatitis.
