Rejumet

Rejumet Tablet SR is prescribed mainly for patients with diabetes who also have, or are at risk of, vitamin B12 deficiency-related nerve problems.

Individuals should not take Rejumet Tablet SR if they are allergic to metformin or methylcobalamin, have severe kidney disease, severe liver issues, or a history of lactic acidosis. It is contraindicated in people with acute heart failure, severe infection, or if you are dehydrated.

Although they are rare, serious side effects of Rejumet Tablet SR include lactic acidosis (rapid breathing, severe drowsiness, muscle pain, and weakness), allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing), and severe loss of appetite. Seek medical attention immediately if these occur.

You should use Rejumet Tablet SR as directed for the duration recommended by your doctor. Blood sugar control usually improves within days to weeks. Nerve health benefits may take longer. Long-term use is typical for ongoing diabetes management.

Metformin (present in Rejumet Tablet SR), when used for months to years, may lower vitamin B12 levels, leading to nerve damage or neuropathy. Adding methylcobalamin (present in Rejumet Tablet SR) helps prevent or treat these complications and supports healthy nerve function.
