Mosol-T

Mosol-T Cream is a combination medicine for fungal skin infections that are inflamed or itchy (for example, fungal rashes with redness and intense itching). The antifungal (terbinafine) targets the fungus, and the steroid (mometasone) reduces the swelling and itch.

Mosol-T Cream should not be used if the person is allergic to terbinafine, mometasone, related corticosteroids, or any ingredient in the medicine. Also, individuals should avoid using Mosol-T Cream on certain conditions, such as rosacea, acne on the face, perioral dermatitis, genital itching from non-fungal causes, open wounds, ulcerated skin, bacterial/viral infections (like impetigo or cold sores), or where the skin is broken. If in doubt, ask your doctor.

No, facial use of Mosol-T Cream is restricted. It is advised not to use Mosol-T Cream on the face for more than 5 days, and you should not use occlusion there. Facial skin and children are more prone to steroid side effects, so follow your doctor’s advice.

Yes. With excessive, prolonged, or large-area use of Mosol-T Cream, the steroid present in Mosol-T Cream can be absorbed and cause hormone changes (HPA axis suppression). Yes, it is advised that fabric (clothing, bedding) that has been in contact with Mosol-T Cream can burn more easily and is a fire hazard (do not smoke or go near naked flames). Washing may reduce, but may not remove product build-up from fabrics.
