How Glinate Products work

Nateglinide is an anti-diabetic medication. It increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas which prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals.

  • It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how  Glinate affects you.
  • It may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal.
  • Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxiety.
  • Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while you are taking this medicine.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. 
  • Glinate results in fast and effective control of high blood sugar following meals.
  • For best results, take Glinate 15 to 30 minutes before a meal.
  • If you miss a meal, skip your dose to avoid hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level).
  • You should continue to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines along with Glinate
