Stopping the medicine suddenly may also cause palpitations, a fast heart rate, and postural hypotension (drop in blood pressure on standing). In severe and rare cases of withdrawal from high doses, patients may develop seizures, mental disorders (psychosis), agitation, confusion, and hallucinations.
