Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine is a combination of two medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine1 and Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine2, which relieves dry cough. Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine1 is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which may trigger cough due to allergy. Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine2 is a cough suppressant. It suppresses cough by reducing the activity of cough center in the brain.

Yes, Bronolax may make you feel drowsy or sleepy. Avoid driving a car, operating machinery, working at heights or participating in potentially dangerous activities until you know how the medicine affects you. Inform your doctor if you experience such episodes while you are taking this medicine.

Keep this medicine in the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
