Understanding MRI Cisternography with Contrast
What is MRI Cisternography with Contrast?
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan test uses strong magnetic and radio waves to create detailed and clear 3D images. The MRI Cisternography (Contrast) uses a contrast dye that is injected into a patient before having the MRI scan. Contrast agents helps to improve the visibility of internal body structures in MRI. It is a radiation less test which creates images of the CSF. These images can be stored on an electronic device which can be printed on a film. The complete procedure takes about 40-60 minutes.
