Understanding CD10
What is CD10?
The CD 10 test is a diagnostic method used for various kinds of cancers like B precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia, follicular lymphoma, and Burkitt lymphoma. In this test, tissue samples are used for diagnosis. Once the sample tissue has been taken from the patient, it is stored at a specific temperature and in a special immunostain technical envelope only.
In this test, a positive test result means the patient has cancer cells, and a negative test result indicates that the patient does not have cancer cells.
What is CD10 used for?
- The CD10 test is performed when symptoms of leukemia or lymphoma appear, or for identifying the specific subtype when either is diagnosed.
