What is Allergy, Individual Marker, Cat Epithelium & Dander?
Allergy Cat Epithelium & Dander Specific IgE tests can check for allergies if the patients have allergy symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, or nausea. The test can be performed as a skin test, blood test, or elimination diet. Allergy testing helps determine which molds, pollen, or other substances are allergic and plan a course of action for that individual.
In a skin test, the doctor injects a potential allergen into the skin. If the person is allergic to that allergen, then a raised bump develops at the test location on the skin.
In a blood test, the blood IgE levels are measured. Normal IgE values are 1.5-144kU/L (IU/ml). If IgE levels are more than the expected range, the patient is allergic to the particular antigen.
