3D-CT Scan Head

3D Computed Tomography (CT) Scan Head is a non-invasive (free from incisions) procedure used to obtain images of the head. The doctor may recommend this CT scan to assess severe headaches, head injuries, blood clots, brain tumors, or other brain-related diseases. A combination of rotating beams of X-rays and computers is used to get clear images. Unlike conventional X-rays, CT scans can image bones, tissues as well as blood vessels.

Although the radiation used is generally harmless to normal adults, CT scans are not recommended for pregnant women. Women should tell the doctor if they may be pregnant. Some allergic reactions like nausea, skin rashes, and vomiting can happen in response to the contrast material, but they can be managed effectively.
