Understanding Allergy, Individual Marker, Pear
What is Allergy, Individual Marker, Pear?
An Allergy, Individual Marker, PEAR is a blood test that identifies an allergy to pear. This test helps detect specific antibodies against pear in the blood sample.
An individual being allergic to pear is quite rare. When you ingest a specific allergen, your body reacts to it by producing histamines. Histamines are organic substances produced by IgE antibodies as a result of your body’s immune response. If you are allergic to pear, you may suffer from mild to severe reactions. These allergic reactions thus vary for every individual and can come up within minutes to a few hours after exposure. You may experience symptoms like red rashes, itching all over the skin, hives, stomach cramps, nausea, constipation or diarrhea, vomiting, swollen lips, tongue, face, wheezing, and a decrease in blood pressure.
