The Dental CBCT Scan - Upper and Lower Jaw is an imaging technique to produce 3- dimensional images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths and bone in the craniofacial region. During CBCT an x-ray beam in the shape of a cone is moved around the patient to produce a large number and better quality images than a normal X-Ray. It is most commonly used for surgical planning for damaged teeth, cephalometric analysis and locating the origin of pain. It also helps in diagnosing temporomandibular joint disorder and aw tumors.
It is advised by a doctor if the information provided by a dental X-Ray is not enough for the diagnosis and treatment.
