What is Venous Doppler Both Lower Limb?
Venous doppler lower limb is an imaging technique based on sound waves to check for any clotting in veins and arteries of the legs. This technique also helps in monitoring the blood flow in the blood vessels of legs. It is used for the diagnosis of severe medical conditions like deep vein thrombosis, superficial thrombophlebitis, arteriosclerosis and vascular tumors in legs.
This test is recommended to patients with symptoms like severe pain and swelling in legs, discoloration of feet and legs, hardening or darkening of the veins. Diabetic patients, heart patients and people following sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle are at a greater risk of such symptoms.
